Funding
Deposit from ~60 EVM chains, or native SOL and BNB, with nothing to connect and nothing to sign.
The hardest part of any new chain is getting value onto it. hood.dev is built so that a person who has never touched Robinhood Chain — no wallet, no extension, no bridge — can be funded and trading in about a minute. There is nothing to connect and nothing to sign to put money in.
#You do not need a wallet to start
Signing in creates one for you. A passkey (or an email code, or an existing wallet used purely as a credential) gets you a real self-custodial wallet on Robinhood Chain, generated inside a secure enclave — no seed phrase to write down, no browser extension to install. How that works and what it means for custody is on Wallets & keys.
Once you have an address, funding it means sending assets you already hold somewhere else. You are handed a one-time deposit address on the chain you are sending from, so the transfer is an ordinary withdrawal from an exchange or another wallet — no connection to hood.dev, no signature, no approval prompt.
#What you can deposit
| Send | From | You provide |
|---|---|---|
| ETH, WETH, USDC, USDT | Any of ~60 EVM chains | Nothing beyond the amount. Your Robinhood Chain address is the only input. |
| Native SOL | Solana | Nothing beyond the amount. |
| Native BNB | BNB Chain | Nothing beyond the amount. |
Whatever you send, what lands is native ETH on Robinhood Chain. ETH is both the gas token and the quote asset for every market here, so a single deposit leaves you ready to trade — there is no second step to go and acquire gas.
#What it costs
#How a deposit progresses
- Address minted. One-time, tied to your deposit, on the chain you are sending from.
- You send. From any wallet or exchange, exactly as you would to any other address.
- Detected and routed. Your transfer is watched for and bridged automatically.
- ETH arrives. On Robinhood Chain, in the wallet you nominated, ready to trade.
#Getting value back out
Withdrawals carry none of the deposit flow’s constraints. You already have a wallet on this side, so the only thing needed is where the funds should land — and that can be almost any chain, including Bitcoin, Solana and Tron. Both native ETH and ERC-20 balances can be withdrawn.
Unlike a deposit, a withdrawal moves your funds off-platform, so it is authorised personally: your credential signs it, not the popup-free key that makes trading one click — that key is structurally incapable of sending to an address you have not designated. That distinction is the whole point of the design; see Wallets & keys.
